A Heart of Wisdom

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.” Psalms 24:1

God owns the assignment and He owns the resources required to accomplish every assignment He authors. To do this He chooses to partner with people through whom He can channel His resources to fulfil His purposes on earth. Many times we ask if God can provide, but we we trust the Holy Spirit to help change the question to: “Can God trust me with what He provides?”

This series we are taking a step into deepening our maturity and the role we play in advancing God’s agenda here on earth through stewardship of our financial resources. Our goal is to help us identify our responsibility as stewards of resources that ultimately belong to God. Over the next seven days, we’ll examine what it means to become a trustworthy financial steward—someone God can confidently put resources into their hands because He knows He can get those resources through their hands.

Our prayer is the Lord will teach us to see everything we have as belonging to Him and that He will prepare our heart, habits and structures to faithfully steward His resources and advance His agenda on the earth. Click here to download the study.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10

Many of us ask God to bless our careers, but perhaps there is a deeper question we should be asking: Is my profession aligned with His agenda?

God is not merely interested in giving us a profession or helping us succeed within it. He desires to use our profession as a platform through which His purposes can be expressed and His Kingdom advanced.

Whatever our profession, our work can become an extension of God’s purpose on the earth. Every profession presents opportunities to demonstrate His character, solve problems, influence culture, steward resources and serve people with excellence.

Scripture gives us powerful examples. Daniel served at the highest levels of government. Joseph managed the economy of a nation. Lydia was a successful businesswoman, and Luke was a physician. They did not have to abandon their professions to fulfil God’s purpose. Instead, God used their skills, expertise, integrity, relationships and influence as instruments for accomplishing His agenda. Their profession became a platform for purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works that He prepared for us long ago. This means our careers are not separate from our Kingdom assignment. When surrendered to God, they can become part of how those prepared works are accomplished.

In this series, we will explore what it means to align our profession with God’s agenda—the structures we must put in place, the choices alignment requires, the benefits it produces and the pitfalls we must avoid.

Our prayer is that God will bring us into a place of complete alignment, where our ambitions, abilities, opportunities and influence are surrendered to His purpose, so that we truly function as His masterpiece in the marketplace. Click Here to download the series.

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31

The Bible reminds us that every human advantage has its limits. Youth is often associated with vitality, strength and endurance, yet even the strongest will eventually grow weary. Natural ability, experience and resources can take us only so far. Lasting strength isn’t found in our own capacity but in God.

Isaiah reveals the divine blueprint for sustaining strength: “…those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…” This teaches us two important truths.

First, waiting is a choice. God never forces us to depend on Him. We decide daily whether we will lean on our own understanding or trust His timing, wisdom and direction. Second, waiting is not passive idleness but active expectation. It is a posture of faith that remains attentive, obedient and responsive to God’s instructions. While we wait we pray, prepare and continue to do what He has already placed in our hands, confident that He is working even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

Since waiting is a choice, it is important to understand the decisions that either strengthen or weaken our ability to remain in that posture. In this series, we will explore five choices we must make that enable us to wait on the Lord effectively, renew our strength, and soar into all that God has prepared for us.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 

We are now fully into the second half of the year, and this is often a natural point to pause and reflect on the reality of the first half. For some, the first half was marked by answered Prayers and significant progress. For others, it has brought delays, disappointments, unexpected detours, or unanswered questions. Whatever our experience has been, reflection can sometimes become an open door for fear.

For some, fear appears as persistent worry. For others, it hides behind endless analysis that never leads to action. It can manifest as excessive caution, hesitation, self-doubt, or even settling for less than what God has prepared simply because the unknown feels uncertain.

Yet because God understands our human nature, He knows that fear will come knocking and throughout Scripture, His response is consistent: “Do not be afraid.”

This is more than a comforting phrase; it is a divine invitation to trust Him. God never asks us to reject fear without giving us a reason.The God who brought us through the first half of the year has already gone ahead into the second. He knows every opportunity, every challenge, every door, and every victory that lies ahead. In His love and wisdom, He has already addressed virtually every circumstance that could give fear a foothold in our lives. His Word is filled with promises, assurances, and reminders of His presence, His faithfulness, His provision, and His unfailing care.

Over the next few days, we will explore these truths together. As we do, may our confidence be renewed, our faith strengthened, and our perspective transformed so that we step into everything God has prepared for this second half of the year with courage, expectation, and unwavering trust in the One who goes before us. “…Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’ For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.” Romans 8:15–16

One of the first things an international traveller learns is that access is determined by the passport they carry. Before entering another nation, you must first satisfy its entry requirements, many of which are based on the country that issued your passport.

Some passports grant visa-free access to most of the world, while others open very few doors because of the standing of the nation they represent. The passport itself determines the privileges, protection and level of access available to its holder.

The same principle exists in the spirit. Every believer carries a spiritual passport issued by the Kingdom they belong to. Unlike earthly passports that are recognised only among nations, our spiritual passport carries authority in both the physical and spiritual realms.

Romans 8 reminds us that we have been adopted into God’s family. The Holy Spirit continually bears witness that we are children of God. Our identity has changed, our citizenship has changed, and with it comes a new level of access, authority and inheritance. Yet many believers live far below the privileges that Christ has secured for us because we’re not fully aware of the kingdom we represent and the access we have.

Over the next few days, we will explore the different dimensions of our spiritual citizenship, the level of access each affords, and how we can grow into the fullness of our inheritance in Christ. “…the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!”” I Samuel 3:4

Samuel’s story began long before he heard the voice of God. He was a child dedicated to the Lord by his mother, Hannah, in fulfilment of a vow she had made (1 Sam 1-2). From an early age, Samuel was positioned in an environment of service, devotion, and worship. Yet it was his willingness to respond to God that distinguished him and prepared him for a lifetime of impactful service.

Samuel occupies a unique place in Israel’s history, serving as a prophet, priest, and judge. Through him, God guided a nation through significant seasons of transition and restoration. The effectiveness of his ministry was not merely a result of his calling, but of his ability to recognize God’s voice and respond with obedience.

In this series, we will take a deep dive into what it means to respond to God, using Samuel’s life as our guide. How did he position himself to hear from God? What lessons can we learn from his initial encounters with the Lord? How did he develop the sensitivity, humility, and consistency that sustained him throughout decades of faithful service?

As we explore these questions, we trust the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Bible and help us cultivate hearts that are attentive to God’s voice. Our prayer is that like Samuel, we will learn to recognize when God is speaking, respond with readiness and obedience, and remain faithful to His purposes in every season of life. ‘And the children of Israel cried out to the Lord; for Jabin had nine hundred chariots of iron, and for twenty years he had harshly oppressed the children of Israel. Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Israel at that time. ‘ Judges4:3-4

Life is filled with battles. Some are visible and obvious, while others take place behind the scenes. We encounter challenges in our families, careers, businesses, finances, health, relationships, and spiritual walk. While the nature of the battles may differ, one thing remains true: God has never intended for His children to fight in their own strength.

The Book of Judges chapters 4 and 5 records a remarkable victory that God gave to Israel through Deborah and Barak. At the time, Israel had been oppressed for twenty years by a powerful enemy with superior military resources. Yet despite the odds, God gave His people victory through divine wisdom, spiritual discernment, courage, and obedience.

Deborah was a wife, a prophetess, a judge, and a leader in Israel. She understood something many people overlook: battles are not won by strength alone. Victory comes when we align ourselves with God’s instructions and engage according to His strategy.

Throughout this series, we will explore practical lessons from Deborah’s leadership and Israel’s victory. We will discover principles for navigating life’s battles, discerning God’s direction, taking decisive action, maintaining the right perspective, and engaging spiritual realities that influence what happens in the natural.

No matter what challenge you may be facing today, be encouraged. God has not left you without help or direction. The same God who gave Israel victory is still leading His people today. As we study these battle strategies together, may the Holy Spirit reveal fresh wisdom, strengthen your faith, and equip you to walk confidently in the victories God has prepared for you. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33

One of God’s primary criteria for marketplace growth is kingdom alignment. There are many people who are talented and intelligent who never build lasting influence because their gifts were not fully surrendered to God. This is because Kingdom growth isn’t sustained merely by competence but by alignment.

Growth in the Kingdom is rarely accidental. It is intentional, systematic, organised, consistent and most importantly it’s linked to purpose because God does not increase people randomly. He increases people strategically based on the revelation that their career/business is a platform for Kingdom agenda.

God is not just asking, “What are you building?” He is asking, “Who asked you to build and what is it ultimately for?” When the answers to these questions are not connected to the Lord, we run the risk of expecting God to rubber stamp our decisions, which isn’t in His character.

“Do you know the laws of the universe? Can you use them to regulate the earth?” Job 38:33

Nothing in life operates randomly. Every system—natural or spiritual—functions according to established laws. Just as gravity, seasons, seed time and harvest govern the natural world, there are also spiritual laws that shape outcomes in our lives and in the marketplace. To function effectively, we must first understand the laws that govern our spheres and how they influence our results.

This series is designed in three parts to unpack critical dimensions of the marketplace so we are properly equipped to step into our God-ordained positions of authority and dominion. 

• We begin by exploring the dynamics of spiritual economies, recognising that we cannot command what we do not understand. 
• We then examine our roles as believers within these systems, focusing on how to position ourselves for maximum impact. 
• Finally, we delve into the spiritual strategies required for dominion—building the intelligence needed for effective and sustained execution.

God is always doing something new but sometimes we miss it because we’re either stuck in the past and unable to see what He’s doing or we’re waiting for a dramatic event to trigger the new.  Meanwhile as far as God is concerned the clock is already ticking on the new.
