The Power Behind Our Words

“Who is this that darkens counsel [questioning my authority and wisdom] By words without knowledge? Job 38:2

[You said to me] ‘Who is this that darkens and obscures counsel [by words] without knowledge?’ Therefore [I now see] I have [rashly] uttered that which I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. Job 42:3

The Book of Job is a very interesting conversation between Job, his friends and God. But one of the things that a close look at this book shows us isn’t necessarily about the trials of Job alone, but also the power behind words. And this is a running theme throughout the Bible.

Yes, what you say matters. However, when you have an understanding of the power behind your words, then what you say can go from being causal and empty to powerful and prophetic.

In this study we will explore some scriptures that will equip us to navigate the use of our words with understanding. Our prayer is that the Lord will open up our understanding, so we know not just what to say, but also the best time to do so. Click HERE to download the study

The Ten Virgins

‘“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.’ Matthew 25:1-2

During His earthly ministry Jesus taught many lessons about the kingdom of Heaven. This series we are looking at the parable of the ten virgins. All ten set out on a mission, yet only five were successful. What was the point of the mission? What differentiated the five wise ones from the five foolish? How do we position ourselves so we can be counted as wise?

Our prayer is that the Lord will grant us wisdom and enable us to live as wise ones.

The Lord’s Prayer

‘In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13

In every verse of scripture in the Bible there are several layers of depth we can dig into. In this series, we are looking at what Jesus gave us as a pattern for prayer which we typically call, The Lord’s Prayer. While we often repeat this word for word, in this series we are digging deeper into this scripture.

Our prayer is that the Lord will grant us wisdom and revelation through this series so we increase in the knowledge of Him. Click HERE to download the study,

Declarations to Transform Your Life

‘So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.’ Isaiah 55:11

‘For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.’ Hebrews 4:12

‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.’ Proverbs 18:21

The Lord has stated that His word will not return to Him void but will accomplish what He pleases. God’s word is alive and active, which means it can move and impact your spirit, soul and body. But if you do not read it, you will not know what is available to you. Beyond reading, you must also speak the word to transform and make an impact in your life.

When we speak God’s word, we shape lives, environments or destinies. So it’s important to know what to say and when. In this study we will look at some of the transformational declarations we should be speaking into our lives. Click here to download the study.

The Power of Understanding

“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

Much is said regarding wisdom, but wisdom without understanding can be lopsided. Wisdom can give you access to what is required, while understanding opens you up to why it’s required and gives insight into its application.

The Bible makes it clear that understanding is critical to our walking successfully with God and being effective in our daily lives. What is understanding and why should we prize it so highly? How does it give us an edge and how do we acquire it?

We look at this and more in this series. Click here to download the study.

Genesis 1:28 Deep Dive

‘Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”’ Genesis 1:28

In this study we have taken a deep dive into Genesis 1:28 to have some clarity on what the Lord meant when he said we should be fruitful and multiply. How do we fill the earth and subdue and what does having dominion mean?

Our prayer is that this study will shed some light on this and provide clarity. More importantly we pray that the Holy Spirit Himself will reveal to you the depths in this scripture and help you make it a reality in your life.

Dominating the Year

The Lord gave us a command in Genesis 1:28 ‘Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”’

We have a divine mandate to be fruitful, to excel and to dominate in the areas the Lord has equipped and planted us. For us to fulfil this mandate, we cannot be timid or fearful. Instead we are to be as bold as a lion. In this series we look at how to dominate in this season. Click Here to download the series.

Attitude of Gratitude

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” Colossians 3:16 NIV

It’s the last month of the year and we can indeed testify that God has been with us through it all – both the ups and downs. Yes we may not yet be where we want to be, but have we stopped to thank God for how far He’s brought us? Do we truly appreciate Him or are we more focused on being disappointed about what He hasn’t done?

This series we’re exploring how having an attitude of gratitude towards God shapes our future.
