Psalm 121 Deep Dive

Psalm 121 is one of the popular psalms we read and recite, and this series we are going to do a deep dive, looking at the chapter verse by verse.

Why do a deep dive? Because when we rush through scripture, we may lose the depth and riches that are locked in it.

The Lord tells us to meditate on His word day and night (Psalm 1:2) and meditation involves thinking through, dissecting and reviewing the scripture by the help of the Holy Spirit as He gives us understanding. It is the understanding of the word we receive that transforms our lives.

Our prayer is that the Lord will reveal the riches of His word to us and give everyone reading a personal revelation of who He is. Click here to download the study.

Success Principles

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7

The year’s fast rounding up and very soon there will be New Year congratulatory messages circulating. The New Year resolutions will be made and hopes and expectations will be set. But what really separates one year from another isn’t a matter of date change but what changes are made within you.

If nothing within you changes, then nothing will really change externally. If we keep planting the same seed, we will keep getting the same fruit. However, when the seed changes, the fruit will definitely be different. If we start practicing different principles, our response to life will also be different.

This series we’re looking at some principles that can help us shape our future for success as we partner with the Holy Spirit to direct us accordingly. Click here to download the study.

Being Led By God

With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s become clear to believers that now more than ever we need to live based on the leading of the Holy Spirit. Trying to do life based on our own strength or wisdom is almost a guarantee for failure as things become increasingly unpredictable to the naked eye.

In this series we looked at different ways the Holy Spirit leads us to enable us live fruitful and successful lives. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but our prayer is that it will create a desire in us to yield completely to the Holy Spirit’s leading so that we allow Him to take charge of every detail of our lives.

Spiritual Strategies

“Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle—” Psalms 144:1 NKJV

No one goes into war and just begins forming the strategy for victory in the middle of the battle. Such a plan is surely doomed for failure. Battle strategies are formed in time of peace not in war, so the soldier is ever ready and knows what to do should the enemy strike.

There is a constant spiritual war raging and whether we like it or not, as believers we have a role to play in the battle. But God in His wisdom and kindness doesn’t just leave us to figure things out on our own. He’s given us His word as a guide for training even as He equips us with the power and authority we require to be victorious in the battle.

This series we will look at some of the strategies God uses to train and prepare us for battle. Our prayer is that as we go through this series the Lord will open your eyes and heart and give you understanding of how God prepares His children. Please click here to download the study.

Laying Up Treasures In Heaven

‘“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.’ Matthew 6:19-21

One of the key areas of distraction in our lives is gathering what the Bible calls earthly treasures, which are essentially material possessions. While there is nothing wrong with these, the Bible instructs that we don’t lose sight of storing up treasures in heaven. There is a saying that you will never see a moving van behind a hearse. Once a person crosses over to the other side of eternity, every material possession will be left behind. Armed with this understanding therefore, it would be wise for us to keep our focus on the things that will count through eternity.

In this study we will look at critical elements of storing treasures in heaven so that we can live wise and unburdened lives.

Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit will help us live with eternity in mind so we use every opportunity available to credit our heavenly treasury. Click here to download the series.

The Armour of God

‘Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.’ Ephesians 6:10-13

We are at war, whether we realize it or not. This is a war that has raged continuously for thousands of years and will continue until Jesus returns. As a believer, you have automatically taken a position to be in God’s camp and as a result, there will be battles you will have to fight. But you’re not fighting from a position of uncertainty or weakness, rather you are fighting from the position of enforcing the victory Christ has already won for you.

This study kicks off our series on spiritual warfare and lays the foundation of one of the tools that we have been given which is the armour of God. What is this armour and how do we deploy it effectively, so we don’t become casualties of war?

Living An Invested Life

‘Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.’ Psalms 90:12 NLT

‘Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.’ Romans 14:12

When we go through the daily grind of life, it becomes very easy for us to get caught up in activities and forget that every day is a gift with an assignment attached to it. When by the help of the Holy Spirit we start to see time from God’s perspective and with the understanding that we will each give an account to God of how we lived our lives, we start becoming more intentional and strategic.

In this study we will be looking at 7 key areas we should be strategic about.

May the Holy Spirit open up our understanding through this series and show us how to live a well invested life. Click here to download the series.

The Journey of Salvation

‘That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.’ Romans 10:9-10

This series we will be studying the journey of salvation. Oftentimes we see salvation as a one-off experience based on certain confessions we have made to accept this gift from Jesus. But there is a journey that goes beyond that initial experience.

Our prayer is that the Lord will grant us all wisdom, revelation and understanding through this series and equip us as we journey with Him. Click Here to download the study.

The Process of Spiritual Sight

‘The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. When your heart is open the light floods in. When your heart is hard and closed, the light cannot penetrate, and darkness takes its place.’ Luke 11:34

The power of spiritual sight cannot be over-emphasized. When we don’t have spiritual sight or have poor sight, we run the risk of running into error and taking steps that could damage our destiny. This series we will be looking at the process of spiritual sight so the Holy Spirit can guide us in having the right understanding about who God is, who we are in God and the right steps to take. A Devoted Heart

Have you ever looked at the closeness some of the Bible characters we read about had with God and wondered why it didn’t apply to everyone?

What was it that separated people like David and Joshua among others? What can we learn from their lives and begin applying in ours? We will look at these and more in our study of “A Devoted Heart”. Click Here to download the study.
