Tools For Marketplace Rulership

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

The Bible lets us know that we are in constant warfare, it is a consistent and continuous engagement. We are always fighting battles – we either just finished fighting one, are about to finish one, are in currently one, or about to start one. It’s inescapable and inevitable that there are and will always be battles.

Most of us will spend the majority of our productive years in the marketplace as a provider of either goods or services or in some cases both. Every day we get up to go to work, we must understand that we’re going into a battleground as the marketplace is a critical location because of its sensitivity. This makes it imperative that we understand what marketplace warfare is and more importantly how to win.

This series we are digging deeper into the tools for rulership in the marketplace and pray that the Holy Spirit will bring illumination, clarity and victory. Click here to download the study.

New Season Transitional Battles

“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”
Proverbs 4:18

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

The life of a believer is designed by God to be one of continuous growth, sponsored by constant transitional seasons that ensure we are always being enlarged. Understandably we love and welcome the idea of a new season because it generally speaks of freshness, expansion and new possibilities. However, something we often neglect to give attention to is that entering a new season isn’t an event but a process and that process will be accompanied by battles. This is because the enemy knows the impact a believer can have when he/she is transited by God to a higher level as such the kingdom of darkness will do everything possible to frustrate the transition process.

Consequently there are battles believers will face before, during and after a transition and we must be prepared for them so the enemy doesn’t take advantage of us. This series we are highlighting some of the battles we will face in transitions so we can identify and prepare in advance for them by the help of the Holy Spirit. Click here for the study.

The Power Of Divine Connections

‘The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.’ Proverbs 4:18

‘The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.’ Psalms 32:8

The Lord’s design for our lives is that as we walk closely with Him, He causes our oaths to shine ever brighter. This means He will take us through various seasons in our life, with each season designed to bring us into a deeper dimension of our relationship with Him.

As the Lord leads us into new seasons, He also connects us to people in whom He has placed specific things we need for that season and at times even beyond. Even if He speaks directly to us and we receive specific instructions and anointing for an assignment, there are people we need to have in our lives to help us actualize what God has said. But if we don’t know this, we may be ignoring the vehicles the Lord has assigned to help us.

Our prayer is that as we explore the divine connections that God can orchestrate to equip us, we recognize the reason we must pray them into our lives. We pray that we receive spiritual discernment, enabling us to identify them and align with what God has purposed for the connection. We also ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to the role people already in our lives are meant to play according to our divine mandate. Click here to download the study.

The Holy Spirit: Our Helper

‘And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— ‘ John 14:16

‘Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.’ John 16:7

When Jesus concluded His earthly ministry, He promised to send us a Helper – The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s assignment is important because it’s through His ministry that Jesus entrusted the continuity of His work to believers not because we have the capacity on our own, but through His help.

As the Holy Spirit’s help is so vital to our journey, then we must understand what He helps us with. Most times we think of Him in terms of helping us pray, but there is so much more to Him and His role in our lives. This series we are diving into some of the ways the Holy Spirit helps believers to be all Jesus desires us to be. Click Here to download the series.

The Holy Spirit Our Security In Famine

‘…And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.’ Matthew 24:7

‘What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.’ Ecclesiastes 1:9

‘They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough.’ Psalms 37:19

All the way from Genesis through to Revelation the Bible speaks of different occurrences of famines which impacted people to varying degrees. In Matthew 24, Jesus Himself tells us that the last days will witness multiple famines – which can also be termed recessions in today’s context. And we are seeing a lot of this across the globe today.

While famines/recessions today and onwards will have their nuances, we know for certain that they will come. Our prayer as we delve into how to prepare for what is to come or already happening in some environments is that the Holy Spirit helps us understand what happened in the past, how best to position for what is to come and that He guides us through such seasons when they come so we are not overwhelmed. The Holy Spirit: Our Helper in the Marketplace

🌟”You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.“ John 15:16 AMP

🌟 ‘The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord’ Isaiah 11:2

Jesus is committed to His agenda and intentionally plants us in various areas in the marketplace, so He has representation in every sector. He is also very intentional about ensuring we represent Him effectively and that we shine and bring Him glory. This is why in addition to planting us, He also empowers us, so we are fully equipped for success in our respective fields. There are different forms of equipment available to us but the most potent key to success in the marketplace is the Holy Spirit.

This series we are looking at 5 ways the Holy Spirit equips us through:
📍Direction

📍Instruction
📍Exposure
📍Insight
📍Illumination

We pray that as we go through this series, we see how to lean on the Holy Spirit in every area of our careers/businesses so that we consistently function as the light of the world. Click Here to download the series.

Demonstrating Sonship In The Marketplace

🚨Dominion

“Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:28

🚨Sonship
“For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Romans 8:29

🚨The Marketplace

“And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver…and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. Revelation 18:11-13

Every marketplace (formal and informal) has both physical and spiritual dimensions and God’s mandate to us in the marketplace is clear. Successfully dominating in the marketplace, is a function of governance based on identity not necessarily hierarchy. How we operate and what we demonstrate is closely tied to who we represent. So as representatives of Jesus must understand 5 key areas that will impact our execution of this mandate:
📌God’s agenda
📌Our assignment
📌Our empowerment
📌Our tribe
📌Our opposition

This series we are digging into these 5 areas, trusting that the Lord will equip us to impact the marketplace we function in as He desires in and bring Him glory. Click here to download the study.

The Power Of Discernment

“Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding,If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom.” Proverbs 2:3-6

We are products of the decisions we make. The wiser and more spiritually sound our decisions, the more fruitful and productive our lives will be. However, the opposite is also true. In order for us not to live life by trial and error and be consistently productive, one of the valuable tools the Lord has made available to believers is the ability to function with discernment.

Discernment very simply is the ability to make the right decisions based on information that was accessed supernaturally. Discernment is extremely powerful, because we live in a world where our natural senses are limited to what we can see. Discernment shows us what the natural eye cannot see, which in turn gives us the ability to make spiritually sound decisions, which could be the difference between life and death, success or failure in God’s agenda and so much more.

This series we are exploring the power of discernment and its ability to significantly impact the trajectory of our lives. Our prayer is that as we dive deeper into this, the Holy Spirit will help us function in increasingly greater levels of discernment. Click Here to download the study.

God’s Principles for Significant Enlargement

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:28

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God Romans 8:14

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?… 1 Corinthians 6:19

When we think of the expansion of God’s kingdom, we may sometimes think of it as setting up churches, crusades and the like. These are great, but only form a part of God’s expansion program. The expansion of the children of God is the expansion of the kingdom of God here on earth. Because when we function as He created us to and allow the Holy Spirit to fully express Himself through our lives, whenever and wherever we show up, we bring God’s kingdom and its principles into that environment. And it’s God desire that His children fulfil their dominion mandate.

This means our ability to expand our territories as God’s children isn’t a function of how well read, charismatic or connected we are. Rather God works with a different set of indices and principles based on which He promotes and expands. This series we are looking at the principles for significant enlargement, trusting that the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to the unlimited possibilities available to us in Him. The Daughters of Zelophehad

”One day a petition was presented by the daughters of Zelophehad… These women stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the tribal leaders, and the entire community at the entrance of the Tabernacle….Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan just because he had no sons? Give us property along with the rest of our relatives.” So Moses brought their case before the Lord. And the Lord replied to Moses, “The claim of the daughters of Zelophehad is legitimate. You must give them a grant of land along with their father’s relatives. Assign them the property that would have been given to their father.” Numbers 27:1-2, 4-7

Zelophehad had 5 daughters and no son at a time when the prevalent culture in Israel was that only men could claim their father’s inheritance. These 5 women had two options: they could either accept the status quo and watch their father’s inheritance in the promised land go to someone else, or they could dare to boldly challenge this culture.

It’s worth noting that at the time they brought forth this petition, nothing like this had ever been done in Israel before so there was no precedence. More importantly the Lord agreed with them, so by reason of their petition there was a change in the law about inheritance for women in similar situations. What would have happened if they hadn’t spoken up? What can we learn from them about responding to challenges or unfavourable situations?
